Mint Sauce Recipe / Mint Dressing
Call it homemade mint sauce, or mint dressing, it still comes out the same – light, smooth, creamy and refreshing!
How to make mint sauce is quite easy. This mint sauce recipe can be used as a salad dressing, dip for veggies, drizzle over fruit or berries, and yes, even as a topping drizzled over cheesecake!
Homemade Mint Sauce Recipe
Equipment Needed: High Speed Blender
Yield: approx 1 cup
- 1/2 avocado
- 1/4 cup flaxseed oil
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon sweetener: maple syrup, coconut nectar or date paste
- 4 drops essential oil of mint or spearmint*
- 2 drops essential oil of lemon*
- Place all ingredients in a high speed blender (Vitamix) and blend until smooth and creamy. I suggest using the variable speed dial on the blender and begin slow and work up, so sauce doesn’t end up all over the vessel or container’s sides.
- Store in refrigerator.
